On April 1, 2010 it's Census Day. Dr. Anderson invited Mayor Fried to our school to let us all know how important it is for our families to fill out Census forms. Mayor Fried said that the Census allows the government to know how many people are in a town. Then services and supplies can be provided adequately. There is no stamp required for the Census form. It takes less than five minutes to fill in the form. It's everyone's responsibility. It happens every ten years. Let's all do our part.

LOCAL HERO
Make sure your kindergartener knows how to dial 911. Paulo did and he saved his father! One morning Paulo noticed that his father was not feeling well. "He was acting weird." Paulo called 911. He said that his father was not behaving like his normal self. As it turned out, Paulo saved his father's life. His father is diabetic and he needed medical attention. An ambulance arrived and Paulo's father was given emergency care. Paulo was given an award, but his best reward is having his father well again!

ARBOR DAY
ARBOR DAY
This year there was an Arbor Day celebration at Edgemont School. It was great! Many people performed. The art teacher of Edgemont school had the whole school make windmills. Ms. Plaskow and Ms Fechner?s classes recited very nice poems about spring. Cassia and Olivia sang, ?Send it On.? Linez played the guitar. Peter, Charles, Kenneth and William played the drums. We had to gather around a very small tree.It was a Japanese Maple. It was given to our school from the Montclair township. We planted it on our front lawn. IT WAS AWESOME!
